Rue Jones, 81, died April 19th at his Jackson township home. Born in North Jackson, Oct. 27, 1880, he was a son of Friend and Grace Anderson Jones, and was a life resident of the community. He retired in 1962 following 33 years with the Republic Steel Corp. in Warren. His wife, the former Gertrude Clemmens, whom he married in 1903, died in 1951. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Grace Onstott at home; five sons, Charles Jones of Cleveland, Gerald Jones of Warren, Lester Jones of Youngstown, Walter Jones at home; Rue Jones Jr. of Hollywood, Fla.; a sister, Miss Essie Jones of Belleville; two brothers Alvie and Curtis Jones of North Jackson; eight grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. James T. Wheeler, were held Saturday afternoon at the Lane Austintown Chapel, and burial made in the North Jackson cemetery.
