Teddy was born as Theofil which is Polish for Theodore and was called Teddy by his family. He is the son of Wojciech (George) and Maryanna (nee Wojciechowski) Maciejewski. He grew up at 84 Cable Street, Buffalo, New York with his siblings: Chester, Mary, Frances, Johnny, Frankie, Hattie, Pearl, Kay. The neighborhood was known as 'Kaisertown'.

Chester married Helen Zurawska. They raised Henry, Raymond, Eugene and Richard at 68 Gibson Street, Buffalo, New York and later moving to 1228 Swartz Road, Elma, New York. Also a Baby Girl was born and died on April 1, 1937. Do not know her name or where she is buried.

Teddy worked at Worthington as a core maker in the foundry.

Teddy died of a heart attack March 1977.
