Lucy Kaaekuahiwi Makaimoku was born 22 Feb 1906 in Hilo on the island of Hawai'i and died 09 May 1970 in Kona Hospital. She was a retired laundress for Hilo County Hospital. Lucy was survived by daughters Mrs. Lucy (Alfredo) Valiente of Marina, Calif., Mrs. Clara K. Kahumoku of Kailua-Kona, and Mrs. Elaine (Thomas W.) Logsdon of Ewa Beach, Oahu; brother Joseph Mauhili of Honolulu; 9 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. Her funeral services was held on 11 May 1970 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kailua and on 12 May 1970 at Dodo Memorial Chapel, followed by burial in the Mormon section of Alae Cemetery.
