The following obituary is being republished to provide additional information. ALICE L. FERRELL, 87, of Fort Wayne, formerly of Harlan, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2006, at Parkview Hospital. Born Jan. 19, 1919, in Harlan, she retired in 1984 from Target. She was a member of Harlan United Methodist Church and Leo Chapter 278 O.E.S. Surviving are her sons, Bueford Leon Ferrell and Ronald R. (Linda) Ferrell, both of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sisters, Eleanor Ferguson and Mildred Smith, both of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bueford "Peck", in 1982; four sisters; and four brothers. Funeral service is 2 p.m. today at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial in Jefferson Chapel Cemetery, Whitley County. Preferred memorials to Harlan United Methodist Church.
