Kathern Bell Burgess, 53, of 240 Collins Avenue, Columbus, ohio, passed away Sunday at Rt. 4, Louisa. She was born June 29, 1921 at Mallory, W.Va. and was the daughter of Adam Maynard and Mary ( should've read Llona Ferguson ) Ferguson.
Surviving are her husband, Andrew Burgess, one daughter, Mrs. Earl Vanover, Rt. 4, Louisa: seven sons, Darrell, Jerry, Bobby, James, Billy, Randy, and Michael Burgess all of Columbus Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. Golmer Elkins of Cyclone, W.Va., Mrs. Faye Schultz of Selina, Ohio ( should've read Schulte of Celina Ohio ), Mrs. Naomi Samples of Canton, Ohio, Mrs. Jewell Curry of Chicago Illinois; three brothers, James Maynard, East Lynn, W.Va., Paul Maynard, Arlington, Va., Donald Maynard, Selina Ohio ( Celina Ohio), and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. by the graveside. Burial was in the Cook Cemetery at Cyclone, W.Va.
The body was removed from the Young Funeral Home in Louisa to the James Funeral Home in Logan, W.Va.
