MILITARY SERVICES FOR ROY C. MACKLEY
Military funeral services for Roy C. Mackley, 50, 15 South Fifth Street, a veteran of World War I, who died Sunday afternoon at his home from a complication of diseases, were held from the Bender funeral home this afternoon at 1:30 o'clock conducted by the Rev. H. V. March. Interment in National Cemetery.
The firing squad was composed of Sgts. George Coshun, George Bushman, Kermit Deardorff, Chester Stoner, Raymond Menges, and George Naugle, in charge of Capt. C. Arthur Brame, all members of the Gettysburg Minutemen. Cpl. Eddie Moser blew taps. The color guard consisted of Joseph Smith, Leon Altland, Joseph McKenrick and Paul I. Spangler, of the Albert J. Lentz Post of the American Legion.
Pallbearers were John Sentz, Edward Myers, Walter Edmondson, Howard Strausbaugh, Morris Bollinger and Russell Murray.
