OBITUARY: 8 MAR 1928 OLNEY,IL NEWSPAPER

William Robert Cheek, son of Wm. and Mary Jane Cheek was born April 22, 1866, in Richland County of Illinois.

He grew to manhood in the homes of Watson and Warren
Bellinger, as his parents answered the supreme call when he was an infant child.

In the year of April 1888, he was united in marriage to Miss Lucinda Kathryn Bellinger with whom he has walked the paths of this life until his passing beyond the realness of this world, February 22, 1928.

He was the father of 14 children;
6 having preceded him to the Beyond, all in their infancy, excepting Wm Bryan who answered the call of the War Flu of 1918.

He was the grandfather of eleven grandchildren. He leaves a host of nephews and nieces and friends behind, who will greatly miss him.

He was converted and united with the M. E. church of Mt Pleasant.

He spent his life gathering the daily bread for his family as a tiller of the soil near Claremont.

He was a member of M. W. A. of Claremont which was moved to Olney, Ill., Camp No 383 near two years ago of which he
died an active member, last Wednesday morning at 3:05, age 61 years, 10 months.

Funeral services were conducted in Claremont M. E. church Friday morning, February 24, 1928 by the pastor Rev. C. B. Johnston.

Interment in Mt Pleasant cemetary.
