NECROLOGY
FUNERAL OF W.H. MILTON
Special to the Picayune
Brookhaven, Miss., April 24-
The funeral of W. H. MILTON, one of Brookhaven's oldest inhabitants, was held at the family residence this morning at 10 o'clock, services being conducted by Rev. Charles W. Crisler.
Mr. Milton was born in South Carolina in 1821, removing to Madison county, Miss., at the age of 18, whence he removed to this place two years ago. He was early converted to the religion of Christ and lived a consistent Christian as a member of the Presbyterian church.
In the War Between the States he espoused the Southern cause, and for four years fought gallantly, a Confederate Soldier.
He was married in 1868, and his aged wife survives him, together with one daughter.
