Joesph Preston Chapman, 19, of 2974 Jamestown Court, died at 1:46 A.m. Saturday (March 17, 1990) at Elkhart General Hospital as a result of injuries suffered earlier in the day in a traffic accident on ash Road north of C.R. 10.
He was born Jan. 13, 1971, in Wynne, Ark.
Surviving are his father, Lonnie Dean Chapman, Mishawaka; his mother and step-father, Shirley and Gary Summerhill, West Helena, Ark.; a sister, Deana Davison, Little Rock, Ark.; a half-sister, Lanelle Chapman, Arkansas; and five step-sisters, Barbara, Sharon, Lisa, Angel and Kimberly Summerhill, all of West Helena, Ark.
Services will be at Kernodle Funeral Home, Wynne, Ark., with burial in Harris Chapel Cemetery.
He was a senior at Penn High School and worked at Matrin's Super Market in South Bend. He lived in this area since 1980.
Thompson-Yoder Funeral Home are in charge of local arrangements.
