Gladine Lane, 93, of Big Sprring, died on Sunday, October 4, 2009, in a local hospital.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with Rev. Steven King, pastor of Birdwell Lane Baptist Church, officiating.The family will receive friends from 7 PM to 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
She was born on March 6, 1916, in Hilton, Texas and married R. D. Lane on September 19, 1932 in Comyn, Texas. He preceded her in death on December 6, 1986.Mrs.
Lane moved to the Big Spring area in 1934.
She was a homemaker, a wonderful mother and grandmother and had the ability to make everyone feel special.
She was a member of Birdwell Lane Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son & daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Sue Lane of Big Spring;three daughters & sons-in-law, Gaynell and Jimmie Harper of Clear Lake City, Jan and Kirby Horton of Waco and Judy and Steve Holley of Tyler; a son-in-law, Jimmy Payne of Big Spring; 11 grandchildren, Debra Leloach, Beverly Hansen, Pam Easley, Tony Lane, Wendi Jenkins, Craig Payne, Shana Overby, Dustin Payne, Julie Roberts, Tonya Taylor and Tara Jones; 26 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Earl D. and Lillie Nichols; two daughters, Bobbie Disotell and Sandra Payne; two sons, Don Carrol Lane and Danny Royce Lane; two grandsons, Donald Harper and Robert Ray Disotell; a great-grandson, Josiah Roberts; and ten brothers and sisters.
