Herb, was the son of the late Thomas Corry and Willie Belle Gwynn. His father Tom was my grandfather's younger brother. I was told he was named after my grandfather to keep his name and memory alive. Herb, was born and raised in Statesville N.C. and was a member of The Calvary United Presbyterian Church. As a young man he attended barber school and eventually owned and operated his own successful Barber Shop. Without a doubt, Herb was a loving, caring and generous person who enjoyed seeing people having a good time. My dear cousin is fondly remembered and sorely missed.
