Majel Ann DeLong

May 25, 1934 - September 17, 2014


Majel Ann DeLong, 80, of Circleville passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Riverside Hospital. Majel was born May 25, 1934 to the late John and Georgette (Keller) Nichols of Chillicothe. She attended First Church of Christ and Christian Union. On October 5, 1957 she married Carl DeLong, who preceded her in death along with brothers, Emmitt and Earl Nichols and special friend Barbara Smith. Her fondest memories are the ones she shared with the love of her life, Carl, the trip to Germany and the many camping trips.


Majel is survived by daughters Judy (Rick) Hall, Cathy (Alan) Phillips, sons; Michael Kisor, Bob (Sherry) Kisor and David (Debbie) DeLong, brothers; Dick, Bill and Bob Nichols, sister, Audrey Hardesty all of Chillicothe, special friend Cliff Reams and her companion Sassy, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She loved her family get togethers, QVC shopping, and her BLING. She was loved and will be missed greatly every day by all who knew her.


Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Wellman Funeral Home with burial to follow in Londonderry Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. The family wishes to thank everyone for all their thoughts and prayers and all the staff at Riverside for the excellent and compassionate care they gave their mother.
