York, Today (AP) Rev. W. E. Waggoner, pastor of the Second United Brethren church died at 2:10 o'clock this morning in the York hospital from complication of diseases. The deceased who was 38 years old had been ill for two weeks. Rev. Waggoner came to York in October of 1932, being transferred here by the conference from Shepperdstown, Pa. While he was pastor of the Shepperdstown U. B. church he completed his training.
A native of Enola, Rev. Waggoner preached the gospel in the Mechanicsburg and Salem circuits while a student at Lebanon Valley College. He secured his training for the ministry after he had married. Surviving him are his widow and two children, one six months old and the other six years.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday morning April 28, at 10 a.m. at the Second United Brethren church of which he was pastor. Interment will be in the Old Stone church cemetery, Wertzville. [Lebanon Daily News, Lebanon County, PA, Tuesday April 24, 1934]
