Emma Jane Pyles was the second child born to Bernard Alexander and Mary Ann Reed Pyles and grew up in West Virginia. Her parents are buried in Colbert Oklahoma at the Garden of Memories Cemetery.

She married at the age of 18 to Leonard Orrin Bonham on Arpil 6, 1884 in Moundsville, West Virginia and there first two children were born in West Virginia. Sometime between 1886 and 1888 they headed west and ended up in Texas where there third child was born, along with 8 more children for a total of 11 children.


Emma Jane is buried next to her husband, several children and many grand and great grand children.
