MILO - Beatrice M. Bryer, 89, wife of the late Edwin W. Bryer, died Oct. 6, 2009, at a Howland health care facility. She was born June 3, 1920, in Medford Center, the daughter of Fred and Alice (Heal) Russell. Throughout the years Mrs. Bryer had worked at Hathaway Shirt Co. and Dexter Shoe Co. She was predeceased by her husband, Edwin; and her daughter, Maxine Bryer. She is survived by four sons, Gary and Ginny Bryer of Edinburgh, Sheldon and Janet Bryer of Woodstock, Conn., Douglas and JoAnne Bryer of Fabyan, Conn., and James and Eloise Bryer of Milo; four daughters, Judith Morse and Jake Fox of Danielson, Conn., Alice and Ticker Springer of Passadumkeag, Tina and Gordon Chase of Milo and Roberta and James Johnston of Sebec; 22 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, at Lary Funeral Home, Milo. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, at United Baptist Church, Milo, with the Rev. Phil McLaughlin officiating. Burial will be in the family lot at Evergreen Cemetery. (Bangor Daily News 10/7/2009)
