Michael was the son of Clarence Carl Day and Dorothy Turner. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y. Michael had a talent for auto mechanics and worked in that profession. Subsequently, he became a Conductor for the New York Transist Authority until his death. Michael was a very dear cousin of mine. He visited my mother who he called "auntie" often. Since he was six years older than me he always looked out for me and my younger brother. At age 11, I recall being bullied by some boys who were a little older than me in my new neighborhood. On one sunny day here comes my cousin Michael walking down the block to visit us. The rest is history. When he got finished dealing with those bullies they never bothered me and my brother again. Although, we didn't see a lot of each other in the coming years due to our schedules, when we did, we always enjoyed ourselves; love and respect always. Michael, was as real as real can be and I truly miss him. He was indeed a loving husband, father, son, uncle, grandfather and cousin. May his soul rest in peace with the Lord.
