John was the son of John and Sarah (Lye) Davies. John married Ellen C. Thomas on November 24, 1857 in Philadelphia, PA. He died aged 83 years and 23 days. John was a member of Vaux Lodge #393 F & A M and St. John's Commandary #4 K.T.
Funeral was from 2416 N. 19th St. which was the residence of his son Herbert Davies and this was also John H. Davies last residence.
