Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel may Quackenbush, 75, were held at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Hawkeye with Rev. E. Shekelton officiating Rosary services were held at the Emerson funeral home at 8 p.m. Burial was in the Waverly Cemetery.
Mrs. Quackenbush died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harley Torson in Hawkeye where she had been cared for since June, 1958, and who was an Aunt of Mrs. Torson.
Ethel May Palmer, duaghter of Benson and Ida Palmer, was born at Humboldt, Nebraska, Dec. 7, 1884. She was married to Perry Wartham in June 13, 1900
On May 4, 1935 the deceased was married to Don Quackenbush at Sparia, Wis., and at the time of his death in 1940 they were living in Waterloo. In 1942 Mrs. Quackenbush moved to Hawkeye where she has since lived
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter (Fidella) Mrs. Bert Guite. Oelwain, on May 17, 1959, one grandson, Richard Guite, and her parents.
She is survived by five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a niece.

Ethel Mae Palmer was married to Arthur A. Miller (14 Mar 1920), Perry Wartham (June 13, 1900) and Don Quackenbush (Feb. 18, or May 4, 1935 in Sparia, Wisconsin).
