Burial will follow at Evangeline Church Cemetery, in Wildsville, under the direction of Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Davenport was born Aug. 25, 1930, in Knox City, Texas, the daughter of Wesley and Icie Mae Dotson. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James R. Davenport; one daughter, Kathryn Duncan; one son, James Robert Davenport; two brothers; and one sister.
Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Carver of Gallatin; five grandchildren, Ann White, Donna Matthews, both of Gallatin, Charles Duncan, Ronnie Duncan and Robert Duncan, all of Monterey; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Matt Mulvihill, Jay Sturgis, Charles Duncan, Robert Duncan and Ronnie Duncan.
