While living in Boston, Alice met James J Brosnahan. They were married on 18 Sep 1932 in Boston. For many years, Alice was the manager of Janet's Dress Shop in Chestnut Hill, MA. Alice and her husband, Jim, lived in Wellesley, Brookline, and on Cape Cod during their married life.
James Brosnahan was employed by the Boston Symphony for over forty five years. He held the titles of Assistant Treasurer, Business Administrator and Associate Manager for Business Affairs of the Boston Symphony Orchestra during his years of employment. It was during many of the years with the Boston Symphony that Alice and Jim Brosnahan spent summers at Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony, located in the Berkshire Mountains of western Massachusetts.
The couple had spent time during the summer months on Cape Cod and finally retired to South Yarmouth in 1970. James passed away in 1978 and Alice continued to live there until her health declined and she was moved in 1980 to CA to live closer to her son and his family. Alice Larkin Brosnahan passed away shy of her 82nd birthday in Berkeley, CA on 15 Mar 1992. Surviving her were her son and his family, three of her brothers, her two sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
