Elizabeth was born on 22 November 1814. She married on 14 January 1834 Johnston J. Corbett, born 30 March 1814 in Clarion county, son of William and Mary (Rathrock) Corbett. (Sarah Corbett, who married Thomas McElhany Barr, was a sister of J. J. Corbett.) J. J. & Elizabeth removed to Richardsville, Jefferson county, in 1861; they lived happily together for sixty years. They joined the Presbyterian church the year after they were married. Elizabeth died in West Warsaw of pneumonia on 24 February 1894; her husband J. J. died on 29 January 1910. They had eleven children, and three of their sons fought in the Civil War (all three were discharged in 1865).
