TREMONTON - The greatest man, husband, Dad, and grandpa, Blake Alan Williams, 49, of Tremonton, died Sunday, January 25, 2004 at the McKay-Dee Medical Center in Ogden. He was born on April 5, 1954, the son of Evan DeVerl and Ruth Hansen Williams in Soda Springs, ID. He married Laurell Berry on February 15, 1974 in Bennettsville, S.C. and their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on October 9, 1992.

Blake moved to Garland at age three, and attended Bear River High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army right after graduation and was accepted into 82nd Airborne as an engineer. After his honorable discharge they moved back to Garland. Blake was a man of many talents including - Carpenter at Thiokol, Owner/Operator of Western Trails Cafe, Plumber (soon to receive his journeyman plumbing license), Horseman, an avid outdoorsman who taught his children and grandchildren to appreciate his true love of the outdoors. In fact there where very few things he didn't know, but most of all he was best at being Dad, Grandpa, and Friend.

He is survived by his wife Laurell, and his children - Travis of Tremonton, Samuel of Deweyville, and Teena attending College in Dubuque, Iowa; his precious mother Ruth Williams of Garland; brothers - Jerrald (Julie) of Garland, Gene (KC) of Tremonton, James (Tami) of Quartzite, AZ, Bret (Teresa) of Bothwell; one sister - Lana (Ward) Whitaker of Deweyville; five grandchildren - Shyann, Kelton, Kylee-Jo, Karlee, and Makaylee.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2003 at the Tremonton LDS 1st Ward, 166 North Tremont Street, with Bishop David Lasley Officiating.

Interment will be in the Clarkston Cemetery.
