A fire caused cemetery records to burn and they cannot tell where any person was buried in St. Mary's Cemetery prior to 1960 if they do not have a monument. I was able to get the cemetery lot and section for the McGinnis plot. They do not have any monument. A map for the area can be obtained by calling the cemetery.

Ella's death cert. indicated she passed of chronic nephritis. She was female, white, widow. Parents listed as Unknown. The informant was F E McGinnis. She resided at 2180 Broadway at the time of her death. Klinger & Co. Commercial Street the undertaker. Interred on March 14, 1928.

Klinger Funeral Home Records 1923-1932 has a listing for her as well.

McGinnis Lot Section B Lot 53 and where I report her in plot number.

I checked death cert. in our area and found Frank E McGinnis buried in Hazelwood and his mother listed as Ellen Lahn born in Ireland. Her death cert. shows Illinois and I am going to leave it at that. The grandson, or the son of Frank was the informant on his. Sometimes further down the line family members just guess from what is heard. I am putting the information on this page in case some family member out there does have the answer.
