Jerry Dean Qualls, 64, of Mount Pleasant died Friday, October 14, 2005 at White River Medical Center in Batesville, Arkansas.

He was born Saturday, August 9, 1941 at Mount Pleasant the son of Maurice Qualls and Nellie (Hatfield) Qualls.

He was a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School and Draughns Business School of Little Rock. He was a bookkeeper for General Oil Company in Batesville for 20 years. He was a member of the Barren Fork Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Mount Pleasant, where he was an Elder.

He is survived by his mother, Nellie Hatfield Qualls of Mount Pleasant; two aunts, Ernestine Phillips of Garland, Texas and Eva Marlin of Springdale, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, William and Genera Qualls and Estellee and Earnest Hatfield.

Pallbearers are Paul Bray, Barry Bray, J. T. Evans, Curtis Mynatt, Darrell Webb and Lucius Bray; honorary pallbearers are the Elders of Barren Fork Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, October 17, 2005 at the Barren Fork Cumberland Presbyterian Church at Mount Pleasant with Brent Ballow officiating.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday, October 16, 2005

Interment will be in Barren Fork Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne. (870)368-4540.
