CLARENCE ADAMS, 11 KILLED IN ACCIDENT
Lithium Boy's Skull Fractured When Car Overturns Sunday
Clarence Adams, 11-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. William Adams of Lithium, died Sunday afternoon at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau from injuries received at 8:30 that morning when a car in which he was riding overturned on Highway 51 between Perryville and Sereno. The boy's skull was fractured in two places, above and back of the right ear.

The child was riding on the running board of a coupe driven by his brother Adrian of Perryville, who was accompaneid also by his wife and brothers Will and Andrew. They were on their way home from Perryville when the car struck a pile of rocks which someone had left in the road after blocking up a car and the machine was overturned, falling on the child. He was taken that morning to the hospital, but nothing could be done for him. Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Adams both received cuts on the body, but their injuries are not serious.

The funeral was held at 2 o'clodk Monday afternoon to the Lithium Catholic church and cemetery, and services were conducted by the Rev. George J. Hildner.

The child is survived by both parents and three brothers.
