Lorin (Jack) Miller was born onAugust 9, 1917 in Bates County, Mo. He departed this life on July 21, 1990 at the Bates County Hospital in Butler, Mo. at the age of 72 years.

Mr. Miller lived nearly all of his life in the Appleton City area. He worked as a self-employed auto mechanic and for the Chevrolet agency in Osceola, Mo. He also worked for the United Telephone Company for several years. He was a loving father and husband. He loved to fish and hunt. He was a respected citizen of Appleton City and was very well liked by all his friends. He enjoyed playing the guitar and wав a member of the Country Cousins. He donated a lot of time playing music for organizations.

He was united in marriage to Pearl McIntire in June of 1947 and to Wanda Gulick in August of 1985. He was preceded in death by his wife Pearl and an Infant son Lorin Jr.

He is survived by his wife Wanda of the home, two daughters; Betty Jean Wareham of Appleton City and Donna Kay Morgan of Knob Noster, Mo, one son, James Lee Miller of Siloam, Ark.: three step daughters; Springs, Lisa Gulick of Harrenaburg, Mo., Marie Ann Dearston of San Diego, Ca.. and Tina Jo Gulick of Duluth, Minn.. four sisters: Arlene Haley of Fort Scott, Kansas, Dessie Dines of Appleton City, MO. Katherine McClure of Brownington, Mo., and Georgia McClure of Rockville, Mo. one brother Clifford Miller Sr. of Rockville, Mo., 16 grandchildren, 16 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
