Known as Linnet, Eliza Platt Stoddard (1869-1886) was a sickly child, often susceptible to ilness. Her parents published a memorial tribute titled "In Memorium: Eliza Platt Stoddard" which contains reprinted address by ministers (including her father) given at her memorial service and several lovely photos and tributes, some written by her grieving mother. Her parents built a memorial chapel in Succasunna, New Jersey. They also issued memorial silverware with the chapel illustrated on spoons.
