June grew up on the family farm in Beaver Dam where she resided until she married Joseph Newell (Sarge) Sargent on March 7, 1928 in the Logan LDS Temple. During their marriage they lived in Grace, ID, and American Fork, Beaver Dam, and Logan, UT.
June lived a life of service to others. She was active throughout her life in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She worked specifically with the youth and the Relief Society sisters. Music was a great love of June's and some of her choicest experiences were teaching music to the Primary children.
June loved the beauties of nature. Through the years she walked miles and miles enjoying the company of good friends and the beauty of God's creations.
June was a loving and caring mother, and a friend to many. Her wit and humor always brightened the lives of those around her.
She is survived by her children, Sandra (Gene) Mortensen, Michael (Judie) Sargent, Kathryn Cornwall, and Julie (Ivan) Garner. She leaves 17 grandchildren, 54 great grand children, and 1 great great grand child.
June was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 4 brothers and 7 sisters, and 2 great grandsons.
Funeral services will be held on Friday June 10, at 10:00 AM at the Allen-Hall Mortuary Chapel, 34 East Center St., Logan. A viewing will be held on Thursday evening, June 9 from 6-8 PM at the mortuary and on Friday morning, one hour prior to services.

The family would like to express appreciation to Dr. Robert Nash, Terrace Grove Assisted Living Center, and to IHC Hospice for their kind care to our mother.
