Graveside services for James Byron Milner, 83, Mineola, were Tuesday, July 11, at 1:00 p.m. at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Bob Johnson officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Beaty Funeral Home/English Chapel, Mineola. Mr. Milner died on Sunday, July 9, 2000 in Mineola. Mr. Milner was born October 1, 1916 in Winnsboro to the late Ocie Kyle and Annie Boyd Milner and lived in Mineola since 1945. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Winnsboro TX; a rancher and a buyer for Benham & Co. He was a member of Smith Co Farm Bureau, a broker and realtor for several years in Mineola and was active in the Mineola Hay Show. He served in the Air Force during World War II. He was preceded in death by brothers, Milton Milner, George Milner, Robert Milner and Ocie Kyle Milner Jr. and sisters, Louie Kate Miller and Mary Nelson. Survivors include his wife, Martha Milner, Lindale; brother Dr. Joe W. Milner, Tempe AZ; sisters, Jean Craddock, San Antonio, and Anne Fields, Dallas. Roselawn Cemetery is located on Hwy 69/37, 4 miles north of Mineola on the left side of the road.
