Died.-- On the 13th of February, at her home near Fountain Ridge in the 37th year of her age, Mrs. Ella Baird, wife of our esteemed citizen, Mr. Wm. Baird. Mrs. Baird has been a sufferer for the last six weeks, of what proved to be dropsy of the brain. The funeral took place from the M.E. church at Fountain Ridge on Sunday, and was one of the largest ever seen in that vicinity. Rev. D.E. Smith of the Baptist church of this city, preached the sermon. The deceased leaves a husband and five children to mourn her loss--the eldest child is but eleven years old, the youngest, an infant of four months.
