LaVonne I. Bowman, 71, a retired Tarrant County tax assessor with over 25 years of service, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2006, in Fort Worth, after battling cancer for 24 years.
Funeral: 6 p.m. Saturday at Fielder Road Baptist Church. Private burial: Parkdale Cemetery.
Memorials: American Cancer Society, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or Universal Hospice Health Care.
LaVonne was born June 16, 1935, in Helper, Utah. She had been a resident of Arlington for over 30 years and former resident of Utah. LaVonne was a member of Fielder Road Baptist Church.
She was a beautiful, courageous woman who touched the lives of many people and she will be greatly missed.
