My Grandfather. He worked as a foreman for the U.S. Forest Service from the 1940s to 1970s, building roads in the Rogue River National Forest. Born in Aldrich, Missouri, Daid moved to Southern California in the late 1920s or early 1930s to work as an oil rigger before moving to Oregon. He attended Harvest Baptist Temple in Medford and enjoyed rock collecting and lapidary, hunting and fishing.
