HART, John - {from The Cassville Democrat} Rev. John Hart of the New Salem neighborhood near Seligman, died at his home one night last week at the age of 81 years. He left three sons and three daughters surviving him. He was a member of the Holiness church. The remains were taken to Bentonville, Ark. for burial. [Rogers Democrat - Rogers, Benton County, Arkansas - December 4, 1924]

I've documented this Gentleman and two of His Brothers to have served in the Regiment that Seven of my ancestors served in during the Civil War by Documenting a Short Military Bio for Each Man of that Regiment. I feel 'These Men' deserve to be recognized.
* Documentation taken from Fold-3 Military Records and a Book confirm the following: John Hart, age 19, a farmer, born in Barry County, Missouri enlisted with the 8th Missouri Volunteer Cavalry, USA on December 29, 1863 in Springfield, Missouri as a Pvt. in Company "G". July 30, 1864 Absent, Sick in Brownsville Station, Arkansas. August 26, 1864 Absent, Detached on Scout Duty. July 22, 1865 Transferred to Company "D", 11th Missouri Volunteer Cavalry, USA per War Department Special Order # 172. {To finish His -3- Year enlistment period.} - Ralph Biggs
