Last Monday Mayor Walsh re-appointed Mrs. W.A. Shepard a member of the Library Board of Trustees. Mrs Shepard and Mrs. Wildman were instrumental in getting a library started here.

No more East Auburn as of January 1. Station A (post office in lower town) will be run by an assistant to Mrs. Mattie Shepard, the postmistress in what was East Auburn.

Town and County Club Met Recently
Mrs. W. A. Shepard was hostess recently to the members of the Town and County Club in her home on High street. The high score for the afternoon was held by Mrs. Hazel Gridley. There were a number of extra guest including Mrs. Frank C. Jordan of Sacramento, Mrs. George Dyson of San Francisco and Mrs. Tom Kelsey of Roseville. The next meeting of the club will be held on January 22nd at the home of Mrs. Orrin J. Lowell with Mrs. C.H. Walsh assisting as hostess.
