Rosemary June Anderson was born February 14, 1927, in Mondamin, Iowa, the daughter of Hans Peter and Ella Louise Ketelsen. She passed away July 15, 2016 at the age of eighty-nine.

March 6, 1949, Rosemary and John Robert Anderson, known by many as Bob, were united in marriage and together they made their home on a farm south of Charter Oak, Iowa. In 1952, they moved near Vail, Iowa where they remained until 1960 when they returned to Charter Oak, Iowa. In 1967, they moved to Schleswig, Iowa where they lived until 1975. In 1978, Rosemary moved back to Charter Oak, before finally settling in Denison in 2008.

Rosemary occupied her leisure time with family and friends playing cards, sewing, quilting, embroidery, word searches, completing puzzles and watching birds. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was baptized in Christ at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Magnolia, Iowa May 22, 1927 and later confirmed in the Lutheran faith at St. John Lutheran Church in Charter Oak, May 17, 1940.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers: Henry, Darrell, Merle and Elmer Keteslen and two grandsons.

Survivors include seven daughters: Wanda; Ernestine and her husband, Darrell; Rebecca and her husband, Allen; Roberta; Nancy and her husband, Burton; Julie and her husband, Timothy; Lori and her husband, Jerry; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; one brother, Elvin and his wife, LaJeanne; four sisters-in-law: Colleen, Cheryl, Betty and Marilyn; other relatives and many friends.
