He was born at Marytown on Jan. 24, 1884, a son of the late Joseph and Katherine Langenfeld Ha1bach. He attended schools at Marytown and was a farmer. Mr. Halbach never married.
Survivors include two brothers, Vincent of Kiel and Henry of New Holstein; and a sister, Mrs. Edward Stephany of Van Dyne. Five brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a m. Saturday at Erbe-Evjen Funeral Home, New Holstein, and at 10 a.m. at Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, New Holstein, where he was a member of the Holy Name Society. The Rev. John Rausch will officiate, and burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Friends of Mr. Halbach may call after 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
