Twice married Oscar married Hattie Mae Marshall of Mountaindale, daughter of Charles Thomas & Sarah May Marshall. Hattie, grasping an ordinary brass electric light socket while participating in a a butchering on the Edward Houck farm, near Ceresville was electrocuted while her husband and children looked on powerless to aid and as a result death occured.
Oscar remarried a widow Rosa M. Welty Etzler a daughter of Isaac & Cathleen Fox Welty.
