Mr. Krawchak was both a WWII and Korean War United States Navy veteran. He was an Aviation Machinist and during WWII he was attached to torpedo squadron 98 while aboard the USS Admiralty Islands (CVE-99) and torpedo squadron 82 and 99 while aboard the USS Bouganville (CVE-100). He also saw service on Guam, Siapan and Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida. During the Korean War he was assigned to Carrier Air Group (CVG-101) aboard the USS Boxer (CV-21) and the USS Kearsarge (CVA-33) with the composite aircraft squadron 61. He was awarded the US Navy Good Conduct medal, the WWII Victory medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign medal, the Korean Service medal, the China Service medal and the United Nations Service medal. In civilian life he worked 20 years for the United States government as an aerospace computer scientist.
