Hughes, Sallie Fisher age 92 of Maryville died Monday September 17, 2001 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Chilhowee Primitive Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Fidel Hughes; granddaughter, Linda Renee Hughes. Survivors include, son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Larry and Mildred Irene Hughes of Maryville; grandchildren, Thomas Larry Jr. and Kristina Hughes, Leonard and Lisa Hughes Shepherd, Scott and Tracy Hughes Webb; great grandchildren, Shelby and Shaina Hughes, Alan, Nathan, and Katelen Shepherd, Jordan Sparks, Sandy Webb, Daphne Burleson, and John Scott; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be at 8:00 pm Tuesday, September 18, 2001 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Alvin Patton, Rev. Will Whitehead, Rev. Jewell McCullom officiating. Interment will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 19, 2001 at Chilhowee Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. September 18, 2001 in the Trinity Chapel , Smith Mortuary, Maryville, TN.
