Mrs. Smith was born in Ilion, daughter of William and Anna Hartford. She was married to Fred W. Smith here in 1910. Mr Smith is a an executive of Robbins and Meyers, Inc. Springfield. The couple moved to Ohio 53 years ago.
Mrs. Smith was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Springfield, and was active in the Lagonda Chapter, DAR, the Old Pennsylvania House, National Society of Daughters of Colonial Wars, Woman's Auxiliary of City Hospital and the Springfield County Club.
She leaves her husband. The funeral was conducted in Springfield with burial in the Ferncliff Cemetery.
