Alva McCaffery Breland, born July 2, 1922 a native and life long resident of Mobile, AL died on Monday January 22, 2007 at a local hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband Hagan Thomas Breland, and son Michael Anthony Breland. She is survived by her two daughters Monica B. Marston of Mobile, AL, and Melissa B. (Gerald) Grovenstein of Mobile, AL, three grandsons John C. Marston, G. Dane Grovenstein, and T. Evan Grovenstein all of Mobile, AL, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the graveside on Friday January 26, 2007 at 2PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1 until 2PM. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Dr. Thaddeus Beeker, Bea, Tracy, and all the staff at the Cancer Center at Providence Hospital.
