Mrs Aurilla Sharkey, who died at Kentland, Indiana, Monday was brought to this city Wednesday for burial. The funeral was held at the Baptist church conducted by Rev. E. A. E. Palmquist, and the remains laid to rest in the Parish cemetery.
Mrs. Sharkey was the widow of Joseph Sharkey, who died about three years ago. They were early settlers in this county and lived at Beebetown years ago. She was nearly 78 years old when she died and leaves several sons and daughters, besides many relatives and friends to mourn her loss. Each one who mentioned her praised her, and she will be sadly missed by all who knew her. For the past year, she resided with her daughter, Mrs. Joseph Turner, of Remington, and her daughter, Mrs. A. Albertson helped to care for her in her last illness.
