Chris was born and raised in Denmark. His family was killed during WWI. He immigrated by himself to America when he was 18 years old. He married Dagmar Thormp, who was from Iowa. He bought the Omemee pop factory in 1923 and operated it until 1969. It was well known throughout the state. The good Omemee water was credited for the great taste of the product. After Dagmar's death, Chris sold the pop factory and spent the winters with his daughter, Isabel, in California. He came back to his house in Omemee during the summers. Their children were Isabel, Mitzi, Gordon, Doris, and Karen.
