Death of Aged Man
William F. Davis, 95, for the past fifty years a resident of Plattsmouth, died Sunday [October 11, 1936] afternoon at his home in the south portion of the city. Mr. Davis has been gradually failing in the past several months due to his advancing years, gradually sinking into the last long rest.

Mr. Davis is survived by the aged widow, four sons, Arthur, Peter, Louis, of this city, Myron of Marcelle, California, and one daughter, Mrs. George E. Moreland, of this city. (The Plattsmouth Journal, Plattsmouth, NE, October 15, 1936)

The funeral services for William F. Davis were held this morning at 10 o'clock at the Sattler funeral home at Fourth and Vine streets where a group of the relatives and old friends gathered for their last tributes.

Rev. G.A. Pahl, of the St. Paul's Evangelical church, conducted the services and Frank A. Cloidt gave two of the old and loved hymns, "Saved by Grace" and "In the Sweet Bye and Bye."

The interment was at the Horning cemetery south of this city. (The Plattsmouth Journal, Plattsmouth, NE, October 15, 1936)
