Freeman Sexton 83 of Edmonton, KY died Thursday October 15, 2009 at Caverna Memorial Hospital in Horse Cave. He was born in Edmonson County the son of the late Ed and Minnie Wilson Sexton. Mr. Sexton was a mechanic for Bailey-Gibson Buick, Pontiac and GMC for 32 years and was a member of the Society Hill Baptist Church in Metcalfe County. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of WWII and was very active in Gospel music during his lifetime.
He is survived by his wife Vanglean Garmon Sexton; one son Wayne Sexton of Cave City, KY; a brother Eugene Sexton of Glasgow and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Thurman and Harbert Sexton and three sisters, Lena Wilson, Christine Clemmons and Murrell Shaw.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens.
