FORMER RESIDENT OF GUTTENBERG PASSES AWAY
Mrs. Frances Fassbinder Dies At Monona, Was 65 Years Old

Mrs. Francis Fassbinder, a former long-time highly esteemed resident of Guttenberg, passed away at her home at Monona on last Thursday morning at the age of 65 years. Her husband, Gottfried Fassbinder, preceded her in death several years ago. For many years the family resided on a farm in Jefferson township, later coming to Guttenberg to make their home. A number of years ago they went to Monona to reside, where deceased spent the remainder of her ambitious and true Christian life. Mrs. Fassbinder was a faithful member of the Catholic church. She is survived by one son, Warner Fassbinder, of Dubuque; four daughters, Mrs. Odelia Whittle, Mrs. Cecelia Berns and Clara Fassbinder, of Monona, and Teresa Fassbinder, a teacher in the schools of Jefferson, S. D.; 11 grandchildren; two brothers, August Beerman, of Omaha, Neb., and Ben Beerman, of Dubuque; and three sisters, Sister Mary Anastasia, of La Crosse, Wis., Mrs. August Heitoff, of Carroll, Iowa, and Mrs. John Haag, of Spokane, Wash., and many other relatives and friends, who will all sadly miss this worthy mother.

Funeral services were held at St. Patrick's Catholic church at Monona, on Saturday morning, Rev. Luke Donlon officiating, with burial in St. Mary's cemetery at Guttenberg.
