Requiem mass was celebrated Monday at St. John's Catholic Church for Mary Lombardi of King City who died friday following a lengthy illness. She was 66.
Officiant was the Rev. Salvino Zanon, who also said rosary Sunday night at Whitehurst-Grim Funeral Chapel.
Burial was at King /City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bill Foletta, Ron Jones, Bob Walton, Edwin and Harold Lombardi, Jack Horwitz and Greg Pozzi.
A native of Thurber, Texas, Mrs. Lombardi had resided in King City for 40 years. She was a communicant of St. John's Church and held memberships in the King City Silver Kings & Queens and Active Seniors of Salinas.
Following the retirement of her husband Charles, the Lombardi's traveled extensively making trips to Alaska, Europe, the Southeast sector of the United States and other areas of this country.
In addition to her husband of the family home, Mrs. Lombardi is survived by two sons, Charles Lombardi Jr. of San Diego and Stephen Lombardi of Santa Maria; a daughter, Amelia Horwitz of Fresno; two brothers, Paul Marchoni of El Paso, Texas and Claude Marchoni of Fort Worth, Texas; three sisters, Aurora Maldino, Helen Thompson and Fortunata Meislohn, all of Fort Worth; five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
At the family's request memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association through Whitehurst-Grim.
