Mr. Hiram J. Anders died at the home of his son, Ben Anders, who resides on the west side of the river, one mile from Marshall, Sunday night about 12 o'clock, and was buried at Station Graveyard Tuesday at 12 o'clock. Rev. Zeno Wall conducting the funeral service.
Mr. Anders was near 78 years old at his death, and was an old soldier having served in the Federal Army during the Civil War.
He was a member of the George W. Gahagan Post and was buried with the honors. Mr. Anders leaves two sons, Ben and William, and one daughter, Mrs. William Allen.
