Elza Burris, 74, 1022 N. Jackson, died Saturday at his home. He was a retired truck driver and tree trimmer. Mr. Burris was a member of the McDoel Baptist Church and Senior Citizens Club. Survivors include his wife Mamie Burris; a daughter, Edith Drake, Bloomington; two sons, Gene Burris and Robert Burris, both of Bloomington; a step-daughter Margaret Mingee; three step-sons, William Burch, Evert Burch, and Morris Burch, all of Bloomington; and a sister, Mrs. Mary Fredrick, Carlisle. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the McDoel Baptist Church with the Rev. Stuart Brightwell officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the Greene and Harrell Funeral Home from 2 to 9:30 p.m. today and Monday.
