Kimiyo Nakamura will always be remembered in our hearts and minds as a special person who touched many lives.


Kimiyo, 92, passed away of natural causes the morning of October 16, 2009 at the Beehive Home in West Jordan.


Kimiyo was born April 1, 1917 in Lewiston, Utah. Until her early twenties she lived in Japan and then returned to Utah to marry Satsuki Nakamura and made their home in Salt Lake City. She worked at Hotel Utah for almost 10 years in the 1950s.


Survived by many family members and is preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, and a son.


A viewing and funeral service for friends and family will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2009 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road (1700 West), Taylorsville.
A Graveside Service will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
